Did you enable "Use parallel I2S"? If not, do it, it may help.

Unfortunately I can't find this setting.

I've got the same issue. I've got 4 segments, and (I think) two of them are flickering.
I2S parallel is enabled (@hardl1 you can find this setting in Config > LED Preferences, just below the memory usage)

Reverting to 0.15.0 "fixes" the issue.

    It's introduced in 0.15.1, I think :)

That's right, I updated again to 0.15.1, the field is there, it's enabled, but it still flashes.

What is that flicker like? just single LEDs or the whole strip
and what is you hardware setup? ESP32 with or without levelshifter (which shifter).

The entire strip is flashing. I can't comment on the level shifter, as I bought the device ready-made.

Could anyone experiencing this issue please post their cfg.json file? I haven't been able to replicate it locally, but I have a suspicion it might be related to exact LED strip lengths.

    How do I do that?
I'm back on 0.15.0, but I can change that.

For me too, version 0.15.2 is worse than version 0.15.1.
One strip is a solid turquoise, the other flashes constantly in all colors.

Back to 0.14.4 it's almost ok (brief flashing every few minutes)

My esp32 wroom boards are now working correctly with 0.15.2. I also sended the device logs from the new pop-up.

I spoke too fast. The problem still happens, also with 0.15.3

I can always reproduce it if I go from "Twinkleup" to "Waterfall Rainbow"

Version 0.15.3 behaves like 0.15.2; one stripe is solid turquoise, the other constantly cycles through all solid colors. In the browser's Peek view, only solid turquoise is visible.

I think this confirms my previous suspicions that refactoring done in NeoPixelBus 2.8.1 broke something

@marmurek have you raised an issue with NeoPixelBus? If not, please do so.
And if you haven't already try 4 step cadence set-up if it changes anything. Use #define NPB_CONF_4STEP_CADENCE or -D NPB_CONF_4STEP_CADENCE during compile.

@hardl1 what type of levelshifter are you using?

edit: just saw you already said you do not know whats in the controller. I am trying to narrow down how the ever so slight differences between version could cause this. How long is the wire between the controller and the first LED and what kind of cable is that?

@ DedeHai Thank you for your willingness to help. I won't be home over the holidays to check the cables. As far as I remember, the cable from the WLED to the first LED is about 1 meter long.

A "as good as it gets" fix is in 16.0, proper fix needs a full rewrite of all drivers which will take much more time, I do have a proof of concept.
