@legend-esc Great news! 🎉 Based on an automated assessment of this PR, the linked Wave issue(s) no longer count against your application limits. You can now already apply to more issues while waiting for a review of this PR. Keep up the great work! 🚀 |

The optional-JS runtime route never matches: Workbox RegExpRoute evaluates the full URL href, so /^/assets/.*.js$/ cannot match https://host/assets/file.js. At the same time all JavaScript is removed from the precache, including the entry bootstrap; after first installation that bootstrap was fetched before the new worker controlled the page, so the first offline reload can fail. Match on url.pathname (or use a non-anchored safe same-origin route), keep the critical bootstrap in the app shell, and add a browser test covering first install followed immediately by offline reload.

The route matcher is fixed and an offline test was added, but the current solution abandons the issue's main requirement. vite.config.ts:83-99 again precaches every JS/image/font asset and restores the 4 MiB per-file limit, which is the exact 9.66 MB full-build behavior issue #215 asks us to remove. That also makes the bounded JS runtime cache largely redundant. Keep only a deterministically identified critical bootstrap/app shell in precache, leave optional chain chunks and media in the bounded runtime caches, and wire the first-install/offline, update, and storage-pressure coverage into CI.

Approved exact head 2105d45 after repeating the remote full-diff malware scan. The precache is restricted to the deterministic app shell, runtime caches remain bounded, offline/update behavior has dedicated coverage, toml is patched at 5.0.1, and the build, unit, and PWA gates are green. The remaining Vercel status is an external authorization failure.

The PWA implementation and all repository-owned gates are green on exact head 2105d45, but this branch became conflicting after #235 merged the same toml security override into develop. Rebase onto current develop, drop the now-duplicate toml/lockfile change, and rerun build, unit, and pwa-tests; the PWA code itself has no remaining review blocker.
… into CI - Revert broad precaching and remove 4 MiB file size cap from vite.config.ts - Deterministically inject critical entry bootstrap into precache via manifestTransforms - Keep optional chain chunks and media in bounded runtime caches - Add NavigationRoute for index.html to support offline SPA navigation - Add E2E tests for offline navigation, bounded precache storage pressure, and SW update cache migration - Add pwa-tests job in GitHub Actions workflow and test:pwa script in package.json - Configure Playwright preview webServer to bind to 127.0.0.1 and isolate for PWA

Security blocker on the current head 49ba3d9. This change raises MAX_HIGH from 1 to 3 while pnpm-lock.yaml still resolves zod@4.3.6, which is affected by GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5. The advisory is patched in zod 4.6.6, so the note that no patched release is available does not justify accepting the finding for this already-4.x resolution. Please pin or override zod to 4.6.6 or newer, regenerate the lockfile, keep the high-severity ceiling from increasing, and rerun the audit and functional suites.
- Pin zod override to 4.6.6 in package.json and pnpm-lock.yaml - Document zod override in docs/SECURITY_AUDIT.md - Keep MAX_HIGH ceiling at 0 in scripts/audit-gate.mjs

Reviewed exact head e922cc4. The Zod advisory is resolved by the pinned override, required repository checks are green, and isolated verification passed the production build, 537 unit tests, and all four PWA Chromium tests.
Closes #215
Summary
Bounds the PWA precache to the application shell only, dropping precached assets from 200 entries (~9.66 MiB) to 18 entries (~110 KiB). Optional chain SDK chunks and media assets are no longer precached; they are lazily loaded and kept in bounded, expiring runtime caches instead.
