Summary
Evaluate the generic adapter extension surface and retain the complete public API, without a new plugin system or backend.
Changes
Inventory request parsing, response validation, direct/model-aware serialization, error formatting and public conformance mixin. Distinguish shipped Pydantic support from test-only native/faulting backends and unverified external adoption. Explain concurrency/disclosure/worker constraints, why hooks are not interchangeable, and the evidence-backed #598/#595 internal reductions. No additional deletion or deprecation is proposed.
Validation
Claims checked against adapter protocol, custom response backend tests, conformance tests and pipeline/worker contracts. Python 3.11 make check-all build docs passed: 811 passed, 27 deselected, 4 warnings in 20.39s; coverage 97.22%. Strict docs build passed. All conformance, serialization, sanitization and binding tests unchanged. GitHub CI pending.
