In the unified view each row can be shaded with its account colour instead of carrying an account dot, behind a layout setting. Tags keep their own generated hue on their chips.

In the unified view every row looks the same, so which account a message belongs to is carried only by the account dot - easy to miss when scanning, and useless once you are reading quickly.
A layout setting tints each row with its account colour instead of drawing the dot. Tags keep their own generated hue on their chips, so the two signals do not compete: an account tint takes the row, a tag keeps the chip.
The tints are Tailwind class pairs rather than raw colours, so dark mode comes for free and account tints stay in the same visual language as tag tints.
Off by default; the toggle sits next to the other unified-view options.
