This PR is blocked for now. The branch updates typescript to 7.x without regenerating package-lock.json, so npm ci fails. Regenerating the lockfile also exposes an unsupported peer: @astrojs/check@0.9.10 currently accepts typescript ^5 || ^6, not TypeScript 7. The build, accessibility, Cloudflare, and Renovate checks therefore fail. Leaving this open for a future @astrojs/check release that declares TypeScript 7 support; no safe merge or workaround without forcing an incompatible peer.

Closing: astro check refuses to run on TypeScript 7.0, and Astro's replacement (@astrojs/ts-content-mapper) needs 7.1+, which isn't released yet. #682 makes Renovate skip 7.0.x, so a new PR will open once 7.1 ships.
