Background jobs now stay in view across /branch, /resume, and /clear.
Jobs carry over. Before, these commands emptied the band and the pane, although the work kept running. Now the band, the pane, and /downrange show the running jobs and the wakeup at once in the new session, each with its real age, last line, progress, and ETA.
No update is lost during the change. A launch, an end, an output read, or a scheduled prompt that arrives while the command runs applies at once. A late notice of a job that ended before the command does not bring it back.
Finished shows the jobs that ended after the session started. Hide does not carry over.
/fork and claude --resume from a shell start a new Claude Code process, where Downrange starts empty.
Update: claude plugin update downrange@downrange, then start a new session or run /reload-plugins.

hooks/register.tsx
Walkthrough
Jobs and wakeups now reside in process memory and are mirrored as session-specific views in session state. Hook refresh and update paths use bounded mirror-write waits. Session hooks track transitions and write views for entered sessions. Documentation and the plugin version are updated.
Changes: Process-Memory Job State and Session Views
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Process memory and mirrored session views hooks/jobs.ts, hooks/limits.ts, hooks/register.tsx, AGENTS.md
Jobs and wakeups use process memory, with serialized writes of session views to session state. The code adds bounded waits, one-time mirror loading, session tracking, and removal handling.
Refresh and hook update flow hooks/register.tsx
Refresh and hook handlers update process memory through deadline-aware helpers. Session hooks record transitions and write the entered session’s view.
Documentation describes process-scoped jobs and wakeups, session views, transition behavior, and mirror-write recovery. The plugin version changes to 1.1.6.

If a final job or wakeup update takes longer than the hook wait and its session-view write then fails, the band and pane can remain stale until another event. The narrow failure warrants a fix or explicit acceptance before merging.
