fix(release): bundle remote workspace support - #120
Voltage desktop releases currently omit the voltage-sandbox feature and the buzz-backend-relay executable. The resulting packages cannot provide Remote workspaces, including the newly merged channel sharing controls.
Build the Voltage feature and its matching provider for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Package the provider beside the app. Linux mounts the repository so its path dependencies resolve and uses the GPUI toolchain. The Debian variant keeps the existing package name and adds the provider.
Each platform checks the packaged provider through its credential-free info operation before publication. Generic package builds keep their existing feature set.
Validation:
Production build-script tests cover Voltage and generic builds, Windows executable names, and provider build failure.
Actionlint, Bash and Python syntax, Cargo metadata, Debian variant metadata, and the real relay-provider protocol check passed.
Full repository CI passed workspace Clippy and desktop checks, then stopped in unchanged legacy Tauri code because this host lacks glib-2.0.pc. Platform package builds run in this PR and must pass before publishing.
The CodeRabbit metadata finding is fixed. Three provider-response regression tests and all three build-script tests pass, along with the real relay-provider protocol check.
This is a desktop release blocker discovered during rollout of #115, #116, #118, and #119. No mobile, capacity, or infrastructure changes are included. Human acceptance remains pending.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Voltage-enabled Buzz GPUI release packages can include the relay provider required for Remote workspaces on Linux, macOS, and Windows. The provider is bundled alongside the app, with Windows packages using the appropriate executable format.
Documentation
Added instructions for creating Voltage-enabled packages locally, including an additional Windows build step. Also clarified that standard packages do not include the Voltage provider.
Voltage release packages can enable voltage-sandbox and bundle buzz-backend-relay. Platform packaging scripts check the packaged provider. The release workflow runs package-build and provider-check tests before platform packaging.

The build script conditionally builds and stages the relay provider and enables voltage-sandbox. Tests cover Voltage and generic builds, provider-build failure, and provider metadata and operation checks.
Debian, macOS, and Windows packaging conditionally includes the provider. Debian adds a Voltage variant. The macOS and Debian packaging scripts check the packaged provider, and the README documents package settings and requirements.
The workflow runs package-build and provider-check tests before platform packaging. Linux, macOS, and Windows packaging jobs depend on the contract job. Windows builds buzzd through the shared build script and checks the packaged provider.

The mock writes a fixed response and never reads stdin. The checker sends {"op":"info"}, but no test checks that request. A change to the request would leave every test in this file passing, because the tests check only the exit status. Read stdin in the mock and reject any operation other than info.

Update the mock provider script created with writeFileSync to read and parse
stdin, and reject requests whose operation is not info; emit the existing fixed
response only for the info request. Preserve the tests’ current exit-status
checks.

Match the desktop’s complete info validation.
If a packaged provider adds an unknown top-level field or advertises more than 32 operations, this check passes but the desktop rejects the provider. The desktop also rejects non-string operation entries. Apply those constraints here so the release check cannot certify that response. (github.com)
