[None][feat] Add the blob backend with batch registration, bounded queueing and a CPU end-to-end example - #20884
The change adds a blob backend over the StoreDriver contract. It adds RowBatch, batch region registration, bounded driver calls, cancellation forwarding, and shutdown handling. The backend retains memory when registration revocation or operation access cannot be proven complete.
The change also adds TogetherMemoryDriver, driver conformance checks, and CPU-only examples and documentation. The supplied description says the change adds no production wiring or store SDK. Review findings and severity counts are unavailable.
QA Engineer Review
The added CPU tests cover backend validation and call grouping, repeated object keys, result and access-end ordering, cancellation, registration and revocation failures, protocol violations, shutdown, and shared-store transfers. They also cover memory retention when registration may remain live or access is unprovable.
The changed tests are covered by existing directory selectors in l0_cpu.yml, l0_b300.yml, l0_gb300_multi_gpus.yml, l0_h100.yml, and l0_dgx_b300.yml. No blob-specific manual-QA selector was found. No test-list change is described. The objectives report 452 passed and 108 skipped in an author-run pytest-threadleak run; this result is not independently verified. Coverage verdict: sufficient for the described CPU-only backend and driver behavior.

Description
KV reuse through a byte store needs a backend that moves rows between the lender's registered memory and the store. #20217 added the StoreDriver boundary and test tooling, #20117 the Backend contract, and #20473 builds BlobBackend on both, with Mooncake as its first store.
This PR makes that backend serve a second shape of store: a batch registration protocol, a cut of each call at a repeated object key, a lease-holder example and a README, plus fixes for three gaps in the shared test tooling. No production wiring, no store SDK.
Where the backend comes from
blob/{backend,keys,store}.py, testing/{broken_drivers,driver_conformance,memory_store}.py and the matching tests under tests/.../blob/ are verbatim copies from [None][feat] Add a Mooncake store driver for the blob backend #20473 at 15c9491ba4; the Mooncake driver is not copied. git diff 15c9491ba4 -- <those files> shows everything this PR adds (about 1300 lines). Whichever PR lands first, the other rebases.
Batch registration: RegistersRegionsTogether (register_regions / unregister_regions) and RegionSpec; RegionBinding owns every region before asking the store, and the four failure shapes release the hold only once nothing can be registered.
Repeated keys: a call is cut at a repeated object key as well as at max_rows_per_op; rows keep their order and mask positions. The contract permits one key at two addresses, a RowBatch carries no key twice. [None][feat] Add a Mooncake store driver for the blob backend #20473 currently refuses such views with InvalidSubmission; this is the one behavioural divergence.
Cleanup ownership: whoever opened the driver closes it after shutdown returns no labels and the hold is released; a backend whose thread cannot start leaves the binding to its owner. max_queued_batches from the previous revision is gone with the queue.
Test tooling: TogetherMemoryDriver; three batch conformance checks with broken-driver pairings; a region's liveness is proven by moving a row through it, and an unprovable access ends the check as a skip with memory retained.
Baseline gaps fixed (reported to [None][feat] Add a Mooncake store driver for the blob backend #20473): MemoryDriver validates RowBatch extents; a worker calls on_change before counting as finished, so drain cannot return before the last callback; the example's owner closes the driver.
Example: two endpoints sharing a store, FakeLeaseHolder, hold release, two backends in one process; the KVCR-shaped together_driver.py runs the full suite; README covers layering, driver rules, assembly and cleanup order.
test_memory_driver.py / test_together_driver.py: the conformance suite, nine pairings, the unprovable-access skip, drain waiting for the last on_change.
test_blob_example.py, test_blob_format.py: the end-to-end example and RegionSpec validation.
Local run with pytest-threadleak: 452 passed, 108 skipped. The repeated-key cut, the unprovable-access handling and the callback order are each mutation-checked.

A view may name one key at two addresses, but a store driver refuses a key that appears twice in one call, so such rows faulted or not depending on the batch size. Batches now never carry a key twice.

Add a test for the bad-geometry rejection in _register_together.
This branch makes three promises:
The store is not asked.
The hold is released.
ConstructionRejected is raised.
No test in this cohort reaches it. CpuRegion sizes its buffer as slot_bytes * max(slot_count, 1), so RegionSpec never raises for a fixture region.
A regression could break this path without any test failing. For example, a change could catch the wrong exception, keep the hold, or call register_regions before validation.
Suggested test in tests/unittest/_torch/disaggregation/blob/test_blob_backend.py under "Regions registered together":
Create a SlotRegion stub whose nbytes is smaller than slot_bytes * slot_count.
Build a RegionBinding over a TogetherDriverSpy(TogetherDriver(MemoryStore())) and call register().
Assert that it raises ConstructionRejected matching "bad region geometry".
Assert that hold.released is true.
Assert that spy.calls_to("register_regions") == [] and binding.live_labels() == frozenset().
As per path instructions: "A new or changed validation rule, error path, fallback ... with no meaningful test" is a material coverage gap.

A get-only driver without absent_is_miss may conclude the probe row's get as FAULT and leave its access unprovable, which the contract allows; the batch checks waited for the access to end and failed such a driver. They now end as a skip before any revocation and keep the batch memory retained.

The backend now hands each call to the driver as one RowBatch and learns of it through on_change, with no queue or worker threads of its own; the copied files match 15c9491 apart from batch registration, cutting a call at a repeated key, the extent check and the example's cleanup. The tests, the README and the KVCR-shaped driver follow.
