Migrate the 36 documentation pages from Sphinx/RST to Fern/MDX with minimal content changes and Python reference generation through Griffe, Pydantic metadata, and Jinja templates.
Replace GitHub Pages and BrightSpot builds with Fern validation and source artifacts. Leave README unchanged.
Test Plan
Automated CI
Browser checks: all 36 pages retained content after hydration; sidebar navigation and reloads passed for Tutorial, NCCL, and Systems, with no page JavaScript exceptions.
Compared migrated code examples against the original sources: all 181 preserved.
Additional Notes
Enterprise publishing still needs the provisioned Fern instance and deployment environment. This PR removes GitHub Pages and BrightSpot publishing.
Local preview uses Fern's supported --legacy renderer: the current default Astro preview returns 404s for compiled MDX modules, causing content to disappear after hydration.

Walkthrough
This pull request replaces the Sphinx and CMS documentation workflow with Fern validation and MDX pages. It adds Python reference generation and tests, migrates documentation guides, and updates CI, documentation dependencies, and repository guidance.
CI validates Fern documentation and uploads Fern sources instead of building and deploying Sphinx and CMS sites. Fern configuration, Make targets, authoring instructions, and documentation dependencies are updated.
A generator renders configured Python models and members into MDX snippets. The template, symbol configuration, and tests cover field metadata, member documentation, exclusions, and MDX escaping.
The developer, tutorial, overview, user, API, and troubleshooting guides move to MDX. The installation page is reformatted for Markdown.
Reporting and system references doc/reporting.*, doc/pareto-frontiers.*, doc/training-report-schema.*, doc/reports.mdx, doc/systems.*, src/cloudai/models/output.py
Reporting, Pareto, training-report schema, and system-reference material moves to MDX. The Experiment docstring now links to the MDX reporting guide.
Workload guides and examples doc/workloads/*.mdx, doc/workloads/*.rst
Workload MDX pages document configuration examples, execution details, system support, and generated API references; prior RST workload pages were removed.
Copyright history traversal tests/test_check_copyright_headers.py
The tests parse Git history records and verify history traversal across additions, copies, and qualifying renames.
The migration retains a missing example link, a misleading Kubernetes namespace, and inaccurate S3 ordering wording. These are bounded documentation issues requiring follow-up.

Review comments at @doc/index.mdx:
- Around line 11-18: Update the navigation links in the index document to use
the published slugs defined in fern/docs.yml instead of local .mdx source paths.
Preserve the existing link labels and map each destination to its corresponding
published path, including the workloads index slug.
Review comments at @doc/reporting.mdx:
- Line 61: Replace the inline-code download instruction with a clickable link to
the hosted example JSON, using the raw GitHub URL provided in the review. Keep
the link text clear that it downloads experiment.json.
Review comments at @doc/Tutorial.mdx:
- Around line 5-12: Update the eight section links in the Tutorial table of
contents to target the published Tutorial route rather than the source-file
path, preserving each existing section anchor and link label.
Review comments at @doc/USER_GUIDE.mdx:
- Line 256: Update the step links in the user guide to use fragment-only URLs,
since Fern registers the page as USER_GUIDE rather than USER_GUIDE.mdx. Apply
this to the system schema link and the DeepSeek step links, preserving their
existing section fragments.
Review comments at @doc/workloads/ai_dynamo.mdx:
- Line 20: Update the dynamo-platform Helm upgrade command to install into the
configured namespace using the NAMESPACE variable and create that namespace if
needed; keep the CRD installation in default.
Review comments at @doc/workloads/index.mdx:
- Line 11: Update every workload link in the table to use its published site
path, prefixed with `/workloads/` and using the page slug without the `.mdx`
extension. Keep the link labels and table contents unchanged.
Review comments at @doc/workloads/nemo_launcher.mdx:
- Line 3: Update the replacement link in the deprecated-workload notice to
target the published Nemo Run route, `/workloads/nemo_run`, rather than the
file-relative `nemo_run.mdx` path.
Review comments at @tests/doc/test_generate_reference.py:
- Line 88: Update the reference-generation test that asserts on fields to
compare the generated field names with the names from dataclasses.fields for the
loaded TrainingConfig class, rather than relying on a fixed field count.

Describe the S3 ordering accurately.
s3 is not registered last in src/cloudai/registration.py; comparison reports are registered afterward. The registry orders s3 last at runtime, so replace “It is registered last” with “The registry orders it last.” (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update the S3 ordering description in the reporting documentation: replace the
claim that s3 is registered last with wording that the registry orders it last
at runtime, while preserving that comparison reports are registered afterward.
