Installation

Download a release build (recommended)

Grab the package for your platform from https://mbc.shit.pub/ (or from the releases/ folder in the repository):

releases/2.1.0/
├── windows/ en.zip zh.zip
├── macos/ en.zip zh.zip
└── linux/ en.zip zh.zip

Each package contains the client binary, the matching config.json and a readme. Extract it anywhere — there is no installer.

Run it

Windows

MinecraftBotClient-en.exe

macOS / Linux

chmod +x MinecraftBotClient-en
./MinecraftBotClient-en

On macOS the unsigned binary may be blocked by Gatekeeper — right-click it and choose Open, or run:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ./MinecraftBotClient-en

The config file must sit in the same folder as the binary (next to MinecraftBotClient-en).

Run from source

git clone https://github.com/creaddinscart/MinecraftBotClient.git
cd MinecraftBotClient
pip install -r requirements.txt
python main.py

Windows, macOS and Linux all work with Python 3.8 or newer.

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11, macOS or Linux
  • Python 3.8+ only when running from source
  • Network access for the version check and announcements (skip with fast_start)

First run

  1. Open config.json and set server_address (for example mc.example.com or localhost:25565)
  2. Set minecraft_version — anything between 1.8 and 26.2; the real protocol is probed before login
  3. Leave username empty to get a random name
  4. Launch the client and wait for the interactive console

See Configuration for every key.
