fix(committor): record replayable settlement receipts - #1867
Scheduling logs the outbox address instead of storing a pre-signed notification. Completion carries the result and base-chain signatures in an authority-signed transaction, so replicas emit the same receipt logs and close the outbox atomically. This removes the leader-local receipt map.
This PR also pins Engine commit 908e924, which preserves existing startup accounts across a leader restart. Without it, startup resets MagicContext and the verifier state seal disagrees with the leader.
Together with PR #1866, this fixes the state-seal divergence described in #1854.
Receipts are discovered through the outbox address's transaction history after closure. RedSuite PR #302 updates the test reader; SDK receipt helpers still need corresponding changes. The WIP intent and completion formats change without migration.
Outside this fix
The direct-outbox redesign, explicit ledger-durability fence before base-chain broadcast, and receipt-retention policy proposed in #1854 remain future work. They are separate from the reproduced state-seal regression.

Walkthrough
This change replaces pre-signed completion transactions and leader-local receipt data with a receipt payload submitted after settlement. The program validates the receipt, logs its fields, and closes the outbox. Scheduling logs outbox addresses for receipt discovery.
Scheduled bundles no longer contain prebuilt completion transactions. Scheduling logs the outbox address for each intent. Tests check simulation output and results.
ScheduledCommitSent now carries a SentCommit payload and requires a writable outbox account. The instruction builder serializes the receipt and returns encoding errors.
The committor submits a receipt through Engine without passing a prebuilt transaction. Recovery no longer resets a sent transaction. The documentation describes receipt discovery and its limits.
Receipt validation, replay, and verification programs/magic-program/src/outbox_intent/process_scheduled_commit_sent.rs, programs/magic-program/src/magicblock_processor.rs, aperture/tests/transactions.rs, aperture/Cargo.toml
The program validates the receipt and outbox account, then closes the outbox and logs receipt fields. Tests cover replay, validation failures, oversized payloads, and retained transaction history.

Dependency revisions and the RedSuite checkout reference are updated. Runtime account setup uses the renamed possibly-missing-accounts field, including in schedule test setup.
magicblock-labs/magicblock-validator#1861 — The PR implements outbox-address logging, receipt payloads, replica logs, and receipt discovery through transaction history.
Handle pending intents explicitly before upgrading and bound completion receipt sizes before merging. Otherwise, persisted work can become unreadable, or receipt submission can fail and leave outboxes pending.

Explanation
The title names the committor change: settlement receipts are recorded so they can be replayed. The changeset matches this. Scheduling now logs the outbox address, and completion carries the result and signatures in an authority-signed transaction. Replicas emit the same receipt logs, and the leader-local SENT_COMMITS map is removed. The title is specific and follows the conventional-commit format. It omits the Engine pin, the removed APIs, and the format change, which is expected for a title.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description states that scheduling now logs the outbox address instead of storing a pre-signed notification, and that completion carries the result and base-chain signatures in an authority-signed transaction. It also covers the pinned Engine commit 908e924, the state-seal divergence fix, the outbox-history receipt discovery, and the RedSuite and SDK follow-ups. These points match the changeset, so the description is related and specific.

Scheduling previously stored a future signed notification in each intent,
while completion read its result from a leader-local map. Followers could
not reproduce the scheduling inputs or emit the same receipt logs, and
recovery needed a separate path for expired notification transactions.
Remove the pre-signed transaction from ScheduledIntentBundle. Both scheduling
paths now log the outbox PDA derived from the existing intent ID, preserving
the MagicContext-to-outbox handoff without adding scheduling accounts.
Move SentCommit into the shared interface and carry it in the outbox
ScheduledCommitSent instruction. The committor supplies the actual result,
base-chain signatures, and callback scheduling results; Engine signs the
completion transaction outside program execution using its current blockhash.
Validate the authority signature, writable program-owned outbox, PDA, and
stored intent ID before emitting receipt logs and closing the account in the
same transaction. Replays use the recorded payload instead of local state.
Delete the receipt registration map, printable payload wrapper, notification
counter, Known/Recovered transaction split, and pre-signed blockhash fallback.
Preserve pending outboxes when delivery or reporting fails. Reject receipt
instruction data exceeding u16::MAX before Solana's signing path can panic;
Engine continues enforcing the complete transaction size limit.
Document address-based receipt lookup through getSignaturesForAddress and
getTransaction after outbox closure. Only successful completion transactions
are receipts, and missing history is not proof of settlement. This changes
the WIP intent/outbox format without migrating persisted intents. SDK #304
and RedSuite's receipt reader need corresponding updates. Removing the
remaining global keypair stays in the next PR.
Validation:
- Extended the existing scheduling test to compare repeated execution state
and address logs, including multiple intents and transaction rollback.
- Reused receipt fixtures to cover replayed success/failure logs and rejection
of unauthorized, readonly, incorrectly owned, or mismatched outboxes.
- Added RPC coverage for receipt discovery after closure, full payload
recovery, size-limit rejection, and rollback after a later instruction fails.
- Affected-package checks, cargo fmt --check, workspace clippy with warnings
denied, and cargo test --workspace passed (518 tests).
- RedSuite qualification remains pending the receipt-reader update.
Refs #1861
Receipt tests use Signature::new_unique, which requires the rand feature. Enable it explicitly on the Magic Program dev-dependency instead of relying on features enabled by other workspace crates.
Validated with cargo fmt --check and cargo check -p magicblock-program --tests.

Pending intents in persisted MagicContext can fail to decode after the layout change.
ScheduledIntentBundle no longer contains sent_transaction. MagicContext::deserialize has no version check, so bytes written in the old layout are read with the new field offsets. The pinned engine keeps an existing MagicContext across restart, so a pending bundle from the previous release can remain in the account.
If decoding fails, the schedule paths return an error before adding an intent, and the accept path returns InvalidAccountData before it removes the pending intent. The stuck intent then blocks scheduling and acceptance until the account is changed. Decoding can also succeed and return misread field values, which this code does not detect.
Before the upgrade, either drain pending bundles or provide a versioned decoder or migration for the old layout. Either path must handle persisted pending intents explicitly.

Agreed that the persisted MagicContext layout change can make queued intents from the previous layout fail to decode or be misread. I removed the legacy decoder for now because the upgrade compatibility policy is undecided. Issue #1882 tracks choosing and enforcing that policy; I added a comment at MagicContext::deserialize linking it. This remains an open upgrade risk until the issue is addressed.

@snawaz Understood. #1882 tracks the unresolved upgrade risk; the comment at MagicContext::deserialize documents it but does not mitigate it. This finding remains open pending selection and enforcement of the upgrade compatibility policy.
