Desktop users currently need the CLI to share a remote agent with channel members. Add native session operations for the deployed owner-signed permission.
This is layer 1 of 2. #116 adds switches in desktop channel settings. Both belong to stack #117.
Related: #101 introduced the server grant contract. No existing desktop settings PR was found.
Operation
Behavior
Read
Verify current ownership, channel membership, runtime selection, and the latest grant.
Enable
Require an active channel containing both the owner and agent.
Revoke
Preserve revocation after archive, agent removal, or runtime changes.
Recover
Retain uncertain changes, retry their exact signed event, and let an ordered revoke supersede an uncertain enable.
Writes use the existing durable outbox and kind 30180. Immediate changes receive strictly increasing timestamps, with a bounded clock lead. No new endpoint or local-only permission is introduced.
All changed files are under apps/buzz-gpui. Mobile, relay deployment, and infrastructure are unchanged.
Validation:
Native identity and relay tests: 15 + 627 passing.
Native Clippy, including test targets, with warnings denied.
Native session integration against the deployed relay image, running locally with synthetic identities: enable, immediate revoke, reopen, non-owner denial, archived revoke.
Signed-byte compatibility tests against the existing server SDK, journal recovery tests, and current-owner checks.
Repository diff and differential file-size checks.
The existing reader deadline test uses a paused clock, so its two queued reads receive the same deadline deterministically.
Root just ci passed workspace Clippy and desktop checks, then stopped in unchanged Tauri checks because glib-2.0.pc is unavailable. Native GPUI checks passed separately.
The ignored integration test requires the isolated loopback sharing fixture. Human acceptance remains pending; no review-completion attestation is claimed.
Size exception: signing validation, recovery, and their consuming session API form one permission transport boundary. Most of the change is regression coverage. Splitting these internals would require unused APIs or warning suppressions. The settings UI remains a separate layer.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added channel-level controls for enabling or revoking access for eligible remote agents. Only channel owners can change sharing, and enabling is limited to active group channels.
Sharing settings now show pending or failed delivery states, with options to retry or discard eligible failed changes.
Sharing changes persist across sessions and can be revoked even when a channel is archived.
This change adds kind-30180 channel-agent grants, agent discovery and ownership checks, durable grant delivery, and Session APIs to read, enable, disable, retry, and discard sharing changes.

The identity and relay crates define kind-30180 grants and validate their content, tags, and signer. Tests cover grant compatibility, malformed grants, and signing rejection.
Owner and remote-agent discovery apps/buzz-gpui/crates/relay/src/agent_sharing.rs, apps/buzz-gpui/crates/relay/src/agent_sharing/tests.rs
Helpers verify profile ownership and identify current Remote-workspace agent listings. Tests cover ownership conditions and precedence of newer local listings.

The outbox supports grant acknowledgments, bounded timestamps, retries, and superseding older pending grants. Tests cover timestamp rules, lost acknowledgments, and superseding. The reader deadline test uses paused time.
Session APIs read sharing state and manage grant changes. They check channel and agent eligibility, reconcile pending operations, and confirm relay state. Tests cover preflight checks, read failures, pending changes, and relay integration.

Sharing can now be revoked when an enable's delivery was uncertain and the channel was later archived, the agent removed, or its runtime changed. Enabling is still blocked in those states. No concrete merge-blocking risk remains in the reviewed change.

Reviewed the change against its stated goal, VISION.md, VISION_AGENT.md, VISION_REMOTE_AGENTS.md, and the repository's review-proven rules.
Minimalism: 9/10. The implementation extends the existing signer, session reader, and durable outbox. It introduces no endpoint or independent permission store.
Elegance: 9/10. The permission transport and its consuming settings UI are separate layers. Exact-event retry and verified readback use existing infrastructure.
Correctness: 9/10. Current-owner checks, signed scope validation, monotone replacement, uncertain-delivery recovery, archive revocation, stale-result fencing, and keyboard controls were exercised. No remaining correctness, security, or product-contract blockers were found in this review.
Native validation: 641 unit tests, strict Clippy, desktop build, a local instance of the deployed relay image, and actual native pointer/keyboard/reopen flows. Root just ci stopped at the unchanged Tauri dependency on unavailable glib-2.0.pc.
Human acceptance is pending. No buzz-review-completed attestation has been added. Scope is native desktop only; mobile files are unchanged.

Both current revisions include the review fixes. All changes remain under apps/buzz-gpui; no mobile or infrastructure files changed.
An explicit revoke can supersede an uncertain enable after archive, member removal, or a runtime change. The old journal remains until the newer signed revoke is observed.
Pending revokes are retried byte-for-byte, and a superseded enable cannot be replayed.
Failed refreshes clear unverified sharing controls. The owner can Refresh to recover.
The desktop exposes Revoke sharing for a pending enable.
Validation: 15 identity tests and 627 relay tests pass with the normal parallel runner. Strict native Clippy, the native desktop build, and the live session integration pass.
Actual native UI fault tests passed: failed reads after successful enable, failed manual refresh, recovery through Refresh, and explicit revocation of an undelivered enable after archive. Relay storage confirms the final disabled permission. Screenshots are attached to #116.
The existing reader deadline test now uses a paused clock after its real-time version failed under local load. Its queue-expiry assertion remains intact.
Human review is requested for the updated heads. Human acceptance is still pending; no buzz-review-completed attestation is claimed.
